Pioneer Trails Research is a genealogy research service.
My name is Leslie Nash Huber and I have been doing research for about 20 years.
I am a life member of the
Kentucky Genealogical Society and also a member of the Kentucky Historical Society.
I am the Historian for Old Union Christian Church in Northern Fayette County KY.
I oversaw the recording of the church cemetery. The cemetery was in existance 17
years before the church.
The Church was established in 1823. I am currently obtaining information about everyone buried there.
You may contact me with your request to see if your family member was buried there. There will be no charge for this lookup.
A copy of the cemetery book may be purchased for $10.00 plus $2.50 for postage and handling. A brief history of the church is available for $3.00 plus .50 for postage and handling.
Currently am working with the Lexington-Fayette Urban County Government with their Hamlet project. This is a project to record the history of the rural settlements of Fayette County. I am working on and collecting information on the LORADALE neighborhood.
Loradale is on the Russell Cave Road. This is where Old Union Christian Church is located.
