SEARCHING FOR LOST ANCESTORS? Let us help. We can do family histories or specific searches.We have access to The Tennessee Library and Archives in Nashville with records from all counties and historical frontier documents. Marriage, census, court, Death (1914-1950's), some birth and newspaper records available. Also North Carolina and Virginia (some counties). It is difficult sometimes to travel great distances to visit loved ones. A photographic record of the family plot or entie cemetery is always a welcome addition to any family record, and ornate gravemarkers make great photographs. Old family homesites also hold great interest, and add a feeling of connection to ancestors. The office of veterans affairs supplies tombstones for war veterans at no cost. We can research and order these tombstones for veterans of revolutionary, War of 1812, and War between the States (both sides). RATES Archive Research $25.00 per hour. A four hour mininum is requested. Record copy fees are .25 per page, including death certificates before the cut off date. Travel expenses .25 per mile in addition to the hourly rate. Room expenses apply if stayover required. These are discussed before any trips are planned. Tombstones can be ordered from the Veterans Memorial Service. These apply to Revolutionary, War of 1812, War Between the States, both World Wars, and Vietnam. General research charges apply, with paperwork filed by us. Delivery can be arranged to any location. We can place the monument, general rates apply. this is discussed in advance. Photographic services are $40.00 per hour, processing and shipping extra Prints or slides are available.
