You Will Love The Beautiful View From The Large Deck, 2 Picnic Tables, Gas Grill, Smoker, Just Right For Great Cook-Out On The Deck!
This Vacation Rental is located on the banks of beautiful Norris Lake, Tennessee. Bring your own boat or rent one next door at Hickory Star Marina (a full service marina with 200+ slips). You will enjoy exploring the beautiful blue-green waters span more than 800 miles of shoreline covering 34,000 acres. Norris Lake boundaries extend up the Clinch and the Powell Rivers which feed Norris with clear, pristine waters.

Just across the lake from the house is the Chuck Swan Wildlife Management Area occupies 24,444 acres on the Central Peninsula on the east shores of Norris Lake, the confluence of the Powell and Clinch rivers.

Just to the West you have, Big Ridge State Park was one of five demonstration parks developed by the Tennessee Valley Authority in cooperation with the National Park Service and the Civilian Conservation Corps as an example of public recreation development along TVA lakeshores. The heavily forested, 3,687-acre park lies on the southern shore of TVA's Norris Lake in Union County, Tennessee.

75% of the area around the lake is a wildlife managed area. The white pine tree just in front of the house is a common rest stop for a beautiful American Bald Eagle. I hope you like to watch squirrels, because there is hundreds of them all around the house, in the mornings they are everywhere and please don't try to feed them. It is an everyday thing to see deer, trukey and a lot of other animals feeding and watering all around the lake. That is what makes Norris Lake an ideal environment for nature lovers, sportsmen and vacationers alike.

Enjoy the convenience of our private dock and swim platform just in front of the house. There is always something to do on the lake! The fishing is great here year round and we can help you with a fishing guide, that will pick you up right in front of the house. Striped Bass (rockfish), Norris Lake has them and big ones too. I have seen 65 ponders come in and lots of 30s and 40s. Click on the link (Guide Service) and see all the fun. That's not all the Largemouth, Smallmouth and Spotted Bass, the Walleye, Crappie, Catfish and Bluegill (bream) are fun to catch too.

If you would like a night out, try Nordstom's Galley the restaurant at Hickory Star Marina. "just a short walk away and the food is great!" Linda is the owner and she cooks all the meals and makes all the mouth watering desserts.

From the house it is only 4 miles out to the local IGA, McDonalds, Hardee's, Subway, General Dollar and our store R & R Gifts And Crafts, where we sell local country craft items, Amish rockers and ladder back chairs. Just 12 miles down to Knoxville or 40 miles to Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg. 10 miles to The Museum of Appalachia, watch crafters make thier crafts and see what it was like living in early Appalachia. The Knoxville Zoo, DollyWood, The Great Smokey Mountains and 100's of other attractions in the area for the whole family to have a wonderful vacation. I have added some of the links on this page to just some of the things to do and places to go, but there is no way I could list all of them. Ladies there is 5 factory outlet malls, 4 big malls, countless flea markets, antique malls and specialty shops just a short drive away, if you don't like fishing.

The master bedroom has a queen size bed, with french doors going out to a private deck over looking the lake. The 2nd bedroom has a full size bed with a country charm, The 3rd bedroom has a full/twin bunk with rails on the top bunk, just right for the kids. The living room has 2 big picture windows with a beautiful view of the lake. Thank you, for looking at our site and have a great vacation this year and please let us know if we can help. Rick
