DEFINITION: LITURGICAL ACTION The movement of the assembly during worship. During the Eucharistic liturgy, there are typically six actions: 1) reaching out—hospitality, 2) gathering around— community, 3) paying attention, 4) speaking up, 5) singing out, and 6) going forth.
