The purpose of this page is to help obtain a public ORV riding area in Upstate, SC. As you all know, since Glassy Mountain was sold and closed to all OHV riding years ago,and the DNR ( Department of Natural Resources) has banned all trail bike riding from Jocassee. There hasn't been a public area in the upstate where we can ride.We can change that, but it will take a little work on our part. We need to contact our state elected officials, And the DNR. Go To: Photo Albums> click on your county(and DNR), then on their picture to obtain their contact infomation. E-mail them, Call, or Write a letter to there mailing address. Simply explain that Parsons Mountain or Cedar Springs is too far away for a SUNDAY afternoon ride for most of us.
