Close in Weapons Systems CIWS (added 1984).
Sonar: AN/SQS-26CX, AN/SQS-35 IVDS, AN/SQR-17A, AN/SQR-18A(V)1
Lamps ASW Helocopter capable.
Machinery: 2 CE boilers; 1 geared HP turbine with 35,000shp; 1 shaft, 5 blades. Speed: 29 Knots, Range 4500 NM@20 knots. Crew: 288 (17 officers).

Keel laid down by Avondale Marine, Avondale LA. on February 25 1972.
Launched: October 21 1972.
Commissioned: November 17 1973.
Reclassified: Frigate (FF-1093) on June 30 1975.
Decommissioned: July 30 1993.
Fate: Leased to Turkey on July 30 1993 and renamed
TCG MUAVENET (F-250). Currently still in service.
